Fellow Poltroons/Cardinals
Greetings Scotland 08' tour members of which I have a count of close to 47 that have paid.
I am attaching a list. I would appreciate it if you would reply and supply your preferred position and one paragraph for a tour brochure so others might gain a glimmer of your physical prowess and rugby resume. Plus, it makes for good material for our team brochure. Send it to Lisa or Toni in my office and we'll put something together pronto.
I will be heading to the Cardinals banquet this weekend and then to the Poltroons annual meeting the following weekend if you want to discuss further.
It is important to note that this will be the next to last opportunity to get on the tour if you are still on the fence.
Tour brochure
I am today soliciting each and everyone of you to try and sell 5 ads in our tour brochure. You would be responsible for collecting the money and making sure that your advertiser has one of the programs placed in his hand for verification. I will be bringing this up in a meeting this week with a company of which I am a stockholder www.thebaynet.com. When you receive this please start thinking about five (5) folks who would support your tour and globe-trotting efforts on behalf of Rugby in general. Full page $200.00 One-half page $100.00 Business Card $50.00
If everyone participates:
We will be able to purchase anything from Tour Kit Bags-Tour Jerseys- And incidentals for the group. Not one penny will be spent until reviewed by the group.
I am appointing Tracey Bocchetta and Scott Dias to work on this with me. I will arrange a call in the next ten days to discuss this in further detail. If anyone else would like to work on this let me know please and we would welcome you. For now please think about how you would approach a potential advertiser, i.e.
Dear Joe or Mary,
We are embarking on a rugby tour this September and since you are my close friend and/or family member I wonder if you would help support our tour in exchange for advertising. Here is a list of what is available. I will promise to bring you back a sleeve of balls from St. Andrews. I'm sure the committee working with the Baynet will come up with something much more professional than that.

MONEY
For those of you that haven't given me $1,000 yet I will send you a private letter in the next week. Otherwise please get to that level as soon as possible for each person.
I had originally planned on traveling with a party of thirty (30) but the way I look at it the more the merrier. I had sent in $9.000 two months ago to the central committee and am still finalizing some plans with them. I am getting ready in (2) two weeks to send in Twenty-five ($25,000) thousand dollars so please get caught up.
RUGBY
I know the young bucks in the group are maybe lamenting that they won't get enough rugby because of our numbers. Let me be the first to dispel your concerns. You will get more Rugby in one week then you have in your entire life.
Relax and just start doing more sprints and sit-ups.
I promise I will give you an updated report within thirty days
All the best
Cheers
Phil
